We were lucky to have Maryanne design our cottage on Stoney Lake.  One of the most important things that Maryanne started with is “listening”.  She really worked to understand what we wanted to use the cottage for so that she could design something that we would be happy to live in for years.  She asked a lot of insightful questions and blended our wishes with the practicalities of design.  We were limited to a very specific footprint to build on, and Maryanne got the most out of every square inch.  Any design process includes a number of iterations, and Maryanne was always open to our feedback…happily providing us with alternatives to consider.  Having already designed many cottages, Maryanne was able to suggest details that we had never thought of…but that we are grateful for now.  In the end Maryanne designed a cottage for us that comfortably holds a lot of people, but still manages to feel cozy and warm.   She’s the right person to bring your dreams to life!
